Housing-informations

The Subal ND3s allows access to all functions of the Nikon D3s including Live view and Info.
Existing SUBAL ND3 UW-housings can be upgraded for the D3s by replacing the backplate only.
Ergonomic placement of all important controls provides convenient and comfortable handling of the camera functions. Special attention was made to the position of the front and rear main dial and the lever for the display illumination.
The lever in the housing’s lid allows either the AF-On OR the AE/FE Lock activation to be chosen.
The camera is mounted on a saddle for precise positioning inside the housing so that wrong positioning is impossible. A 4 mm main- O-ring and the SUBAL QuickLock system make it virtually impossible to close the lid if the O-ring is not lying correctly in its groove. Maximum security is assured.
Generous shading of the LCD-monitor provides a dazzle-free view to the brilliant image of the camera monitor which is ideal when using the HD-video function of this camera.
Threaded holes in the base of the housing allow the mounting of trays etc.
On the top of the housing there is a mounting plate with threaded hole for mounting a light-weight aiming light.
The housing incorporates an excellent viewfinder optic for full frame viewing.
Optionally the housing can be assembled with the magnifying Viewfinder Optic GS 180 as well as with the also magnifying, 360° revolvable, Viewfinder OpticWS45. As with all our products choice of materials, machining, surface protection and finish conform with SUBAL’s well known standards of reliability and workmanship.

All SUBAL ports with bayonet mount can be used with this housing.

With the SUBAL ND3s for the Nikon D3s, SUBAL offers an aluminium housing for the latest development of full-frame-SLR cameras from Nikon with no reduction in the angle of coverage! There is no limit in creativity for the underwater photographer!

Seawater resistant aluminium alloy, machined from a solid block, extreme surface hardened and corrosion resistant through Hard Coating. All parts manufactured from anodized and hard coated aluminium, acid proof stainless steel or high quality plastics. Seals are seamless precision O-rings. O-rings in hard coated glands. SUBAL QuickLock latching system.
